Jackie and the rest of her team at TLC are simply phenomenal! They have given our daughter the tools and strategies she needs in order to overcome her learning challenges, all while making it fun and engaging! Simply put - this has been one of the most invaluable experiences we have ever given our daughter!

Risa Kirsh has been an amazing teacher, therapist, resource, and friend to our family. She is an extremely talented speech therapist who truly understands and reaches my kids.... Always listening and finding new creative ways as my kids grow. Risa is always willing to help guide us educationally, socially, and emotionally. There are not enough words to encapsulate how lucky we feel to have Risa on our team. She is a great partner and we love her.

Our son worked with Jackie for about 7 years on everything imaginable, from articulation and expressive language to reading, writing, and math skills… He loved his sessions with her, and she truly filled a void in the services that he was getting from school. Jackie also went above and beyond in helping us with insurance related issues, which is unheard of. She was an indispensable member of my son’s team for so many years, and we are tremendously grateful.

Jackie Klein and Risa Kirsh have changed our family's lives. Seeing how much Jackie and Risa helped, we brought our younger son too. Jackie and Risa helped both our sons develop into the amazing and confident children they are today. TLC does not only mean Tools for Language and Communication, to our family it also means tender loving care. They are smart, kind, insightful and amazing with a staff to match. TLC is truly a one stop shop. They have and continue to fulfill all of our needs - no stone is ever left unturned.

My children have been working with the staff at Tools for Language and Communication since 2004. TLC is a warm, professional practice with very talented and well trained professionals. Their approach is excellent and I have seen first-hand strong, solid growth in my children's skills while maintaining high self-confidence. Jackie and Risa are very approachable and go well beyond the individual session to assist in speaking with teachers and offer invaluable advice. When I recently was hit with the news that my middle school child did not score well on an evaluation, the first person I called was Jackie for advice. I truly believe that every child would benefit from their approach.

Our family has worked with Risa Kirsh for the past 6 consecutive years. In that time, I have found her to be an honest, caring, and incredibly skilled therapist. She provided my eldest son with the tools he needed to "phase out" from her services and successfully and independently navigate his way through school. Risa also has a special way of making a connection to the kids with whom she works and gains their trust to elicit their best effort. She is an incredibly talented speech therapist who has worked on a myriad of issues with each of my children. Her expertise in the field of speech and language is absolutely the vital piece of my children's speech and language puzzle.

It is a true gift to be able to work with Risa Kirsh. In addition to being one of the most incredible and knowledgeable support professionals I have met over the course of raising three children, Risa is highly skilled in diagnosing emerging issues that benefit from early intervention and which could easily be missed. One of the things that makes her so special is her ability to engage a reluctant child and make the sessions fun. Risa is incredibly warm and kind and treats the families she works with as her own. She continues to be a trusted and valuable resource for me and my family many years after my child completed speech therapy.

Working with Risa was life-changing for our family. She gave my daughter the language skills to finally be able to express herself and taught us how to better support our child. Remediating a disability is very hard work and Risa was there to guide us every step of the way, even now as she is college bound!.

Risa Kirsh, Jackie Klein, and Robyn Weindel have made it possible for my six year old with a language disorder to thrive and succeed in school. They changed the course of my child's social and academic world, providing him with the tools and skills to help him compensate for his disability. They are kind, helpful, and didactic with my son. They taught him multiple coping mechanisms to work around his disability, while simultaneously helping him to work through it. His whole life has changed for the better since he began working with the Tools for Language and Communications team.

Jackie went above and beyond, guiding us through the process, making our daughter feel comfortable, and most importantly, teaching her strategies that remediated her issues and molded her into the successful high school honors student she is today. We can’t thank her and TLC enough.
